The Tattoo

Here it is!
The symbols are a style of Chinese calligraphy called "Grass Style". They are very fluid representations of Chinese symbols. The top symbol is a description of definition of the Tao or Way. It signifies the course of a river as it flows from one place to another. So Tao could be defined as: The way of water or the way that water flows.
The second and third symbol put together mean: To do without doing, or action without action. This means that everything is accomplished while nothing is "done". (and about 100 other things)
The symbols put together refer to those who follow the Tao accomplishing all things while "doing" nothing.
They are reproductions of characters made by Al Huang.
I spent six years planning this tattoo!

Merry Christma...oops!

Due to unfortunate recent events, Christmas has been cancelled this year.
We are currently looking for a replacement.

Round 2

I'm trying to make my blog-writing a habit because as of now, it is like pulling teeth!

Sadly, the first reported case of bird flu hit the U.S. this week. (see photo below)
It is just a matter of time before it spreads.

but seriously folks!
Here is a sure-fire way to get bird flu if I ever saw one!

Well, it is Friday!
This weekend our final Lesley class begins. It looks like it will be very good - wikipages, blogging, and open source!

First Blog

Well, this is my first blog. I set up this specific blog for a University class that requires blogging. The format and content will probably switch after the class, but until then, this blog will be used for educational technology issues.
